Conference Purpose:
The 2nd INC National Conference aims to foster an interdisciplinary discussion on the evolving role of digital technologies and ethical considerations in hospitality, business and education. By bringing experts, educators, and industry professionals together, the event will explore the integration of web-based technologies, the fairness of algorithm-driven marketing, and trust-building strategies in SMEs.
Conference Objectives:
- To examine the impact of web-based technologies on the hospitality industry and education, highlighting innovations that enhance efficiency, engagement, and customer experience.
- To analyse fairness and ethical concerns in algorithmic digital marketing, focusing on marketers’ perceptions of bias, transparency, and consumer trust.
- To explore key factors influencing parents’ trust and commitment to small-scale kids’ day-care businesses, identifying best practices for SMEs to build sustainable customer relationships.
Keynote Speakers:
- Dr Danko Milasinovic (Visiting Professor – University of Kragujevac)
Dr. Danko Milašinović (PhD in Computer Science) earned his doctorate from the Faculty of Science at the University of Kragujevac, Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, in 2011. He previously completed his undergraduate studies at the same faculty, specialising in Physics, in 2006. His research focuses on software development and the adaptation of various Linux server systems. Dr. Milašinović has made significant scientific contributions in the field of computer simulation, where he has authored and co-authored numerous research papers. He will be presenting on the topic: Application of Web-based Technologies in Modern Hospitality Business and Education.
- Dr Veronica Pavlidou (Assistant Professor – InterNapa College)
Dr. Veronica Pavlidou is an expert in the design, analysis, and application of social information systems, with a strong focus on social media analysis, user behaviour, and engagement. Her research explores how digital platforms shape interactions, examining the ethical dimensions of privacy, trust, and the far-reaching implications of algorithmic decision-making on social dynamics. By integrating data-driven insights with ethical considerations, Dr. Pavlidou’s work provides valuable perspectives on the evolving landscape of digital communication and the societal impact of technology-driven engagement.
- Mr Panayiotis Skattou (Entrepreneur – SME Owner – Internapa College MBA Graduate)
Mr. Panayiotis Skattou has a diverse background in engineering, sales, business management, and entrepreneurship. He studied Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Patras and he has an MBA from InterNapa College. He has a long working experience in sales at Sweet Home Estates. He offered his service and leadership to Enosis Neon Paralimniou FC from the position of General Manager. He has been actively involved in business ventures, including his work at ‘Plan Be’ as well as an entrepreneur and a business owner of kids’ day-care centre. Mr. Skattou will present on the topic: Factors Affecting Parents’ Trust and Commitment to Day-care Businesses: The Case of an SME, offering valuable insights into trust-building and customer commitment in SMEs operations.
